John 13:35 NLT

Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.

Jesus calls His followers to be known by their love. FOR OUR CITIES is our opportunity to put that love into action through prayer, service, sacrifice, and generosity.

Water towers for Fulshear, Sugar Land and Richmond

A church living generously for others.

Over the next three years, this initiative will unite The Bridge around three focus priorities.

01

FOR OUR FAMILY.

More room for life change at our campuses.

02

FOR OUR NEIGHBORS.

More good in action through trusted Do Good partnerships.

03

FOR THE NATIONS.

More people reached in communities near and far.

At its heart, this initiative is about the kind of people Jesus is forming us to become. People who are known by our love. People who live with open hands. People who are willing to be FOR one another.

Overview

A bridge of hope for our cities

The Bridge has always carried a simple mission: inviting everyone to know and follow Jesus. Our communities are growing. Families are searching for hope, belonging, and purpose.

This is a defining moment for our church. Together, we can expand our capacity to welcome people, strengthen families, care for our neighbors, and take the hope of Jesus into places we may never enter on our own.

A history of hope

God has been building The Bridge for this moment.

From our beginnings in Sugar Land, God has grown The Bridge into one church serving Sugar Land, Richmond, Fulshear, and online.

Every campus, ministry, baptism, small group, mission partnership, and story of life change has been made possible by people who believed the mission was worth their prayers, service, and generosity.

They prepared a place for us. Now we prepare a place for those who come after.

The invitation

Love becomes visible when we live for others.

FOR OUR CITIES is an invitation to every person who calls The Bridge home.

01

Live with open hands

Generosity is one of the ways we place our trust in God and reflect His heart to the world.

02

Move forward together

Every campus, every generation, and every household has a part in what God is doing through The Bridge.

03

Make a lasting difference

What we do together will create places of hope, strengthen people in difficult seasons, and carry the gospel far beyond our own communities.

The priorities

Three priorities. One church.

Every project below states its cost plainly. FOR OUR FAMILY, FOR OUR NEIGHBORS, and FOR THE NATIONS each carry their own color through the rest of the page.

Making room for life change.

The Bridge is one church meeting in multiple locations. FOR OUR FAMILY will strengthen each campus and prepare us to invite more people to know and follow Jesus.

Your response

What is God asking you to do?

Pastor Kenny gave us an example prayer at our Vision Night that simply says "God what do you want me to release for our cities to know and follow you?"

Pray.

Prepare.

Partner.

01

Pray

Ask God what He wants to do in you and through you during FOR OUR CITIES. Pray for unity across our campuses. Pray for every person who will be reached. Pray for the families, neighbors, and nations that will experience the hope of Jesus through this work.

02

Prepare

Talk and pray with your family. Consider how God may be inviting you to live with greater trust and generosity. Make a plan for how you can give over the next three years, above and beyond your regular giving to The Bridge.

03

Frequently asked questions

What is FOR OUR CITIES?

FOR OUR CITIES is a three-year journey of faith and courageous generosity to extend the love of Jesus as a bridge to our cities. Together, we’re investing in three priorities: FOR OUR FAMILY, FOR OUR NEIGHBORS, and FOR THE NATIONS.

We’ll expand ministry across our Sugar Land, Richmond, and Fulshear campuses, serve our neighbors through trusted DO GOOD Partners, and help carry the hope of Jesus around the world.

More than a collection of projects, FOR OUR CITIES is an invitation for every Bridger to pray, prepare, and partner as we invite everyone to know and follow Jesus.

How long will FOR OUR CITIES last?

FOR OUR CITIES is a three-year generosity journey beginning in November 2026 and continuing through 2029.

On Response Sunday, November 15, our entire church family will come together across all three campuses to make commitments and bring our First & Best Offerings. From there, we’ll continue giving, praying, serving, and celebrating what God does throughout the journey.

What is the total project investment, and how much are we raising?

The total anticipated project investment is $21.45 million. Through FOR OUR CITIES, we’re inviting our church family to prayerfully participate in a $12.825 million generosity goal over three years.

Our investments support three priorities:

  • FOR OUR FAMILY: $19.246M Expanding Sugar Land, establishing a permanent Richmond Campus, and supporting three years of ministry at Fulshear.
  • FOR OUR NEIGHBORS: $1.4M Partnering with Abigail’s Place to build a home for two families and strengthening prison ministry at the Jester Unit, including the vision for a permanent chapel.
  • FOR THE NATIONS: $800,000 Supporting church planting in India and Sri Lanka, Bible translation in Peru, and gospel-centered discipleship through the Pando app.

Together, these investments will create more opportunities to invite everyone to know and follow Jesus.

Why are we doing this now?

Because God continues to bring people into our church family, and we want to be ready for them.

Richmond has grown from 85 people meeting in a movie theater to a church family of more than 1,000. Sugar Land needs additional space to welcome and connect people. Fulshear launched at Easter 2026 and is already seeing lives changed.

At the same time, God has opened doors to serve our neighbors and reach people around the world. We believe this is a moment to respond with faith, make room for others, and invite more people to know and follow Jesus.

How is this different from my regular giving?

Your regular giving supports the ongoing ministry of The Bridge, including worship, discipleship, missions, staffing, and the everyday work of inviting everyone to know and follow Jesus.

FOR OUR CITIES is an invitation to give above and beyond your regular giving toward these specific opportunities over the next three years.

We’re asking every person and family to pray about what courageous generosity might look like for them. The amount will be different for everyone, but we can all participate with the same heart.

How will the $8.6 million already available be used?

The $8.6 million represents resources already available to help move FOR OUR CITIES forward. These funds provide a strong financial starting point as we prepare for the projects and ministry opportunities ahead.

Together with new generosity commitments, these resources will help us invest in our campuses, serve our neighbors, and support global ministry. Church leadership will steward these funds carefully as project plans and timelines develop.

Will The Bridge borrow money?

Our desire is to move forward with financial wisdom, responsible stewardship, and a commitment to the long-term health of The Bridge.

As project plans develop, church leadership will evaluate available resources, generosity commitments, and any additional funding needs.

If borrowing becomes necessary, any proposed debt will be brought before our church partners/members for consideration and approval. We want to move forward together with transparency, unity, and a shared commitment to inviting everyone to know and follow Jesus.

When will the projects begin?

Each project has its own timeline, and some ministry opportunities are already underway.

Fulshear launched at Easter 2026, and FOR OUR CITIES will provide three years of ministry and operational support. Planning for the Richmond facility and Sugar Land expansion will continue as resources and project requirements come together.

Our partnerships with Abigail’s Place, the Jester Unit, and global ministry organizations will also advance as funding and opportunities allow. We’ll share progress and milestones throughout the journey.

How do three-year commitments work?

On Response Sunday, November 15, you’ll have an opportunity to make a commitment to FOR OUR CITIES and bring your First & Best Offering.

Your commitment represents the total amount you prayerfully intend to give over three years, including your initial offering. You can choose a giving rhythm that works for you, whether weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, or another schedule.

This isn’t about equal gifts. It’s about each of us listening to God and responding faithfully to what He’s placed on our hearts.

Can I give assets instead of cash?

Yes! Generosity can take many forms beyond cash. Stocks, securities, real estate, business interests, donor-advised funds, qualified charitable distributions, and other non-cash assets may be meaningful ways to participate in FOR OUR CITIES.

If you’re considering a non-cash gift, please contact Alex Baez through The Bridge’s Business Office. Alex can help you understand the process, discuss available options, and coordinate next steps.

We also encourage you to consult your financial or tax advisor when considering these types of gifts.

Can I designate my gift to one project?

Yes. We respect donor intent and understand that God may place a particular project or ministry on your heart.

At the same time, FOR OUR CITIES is a shared vision with multiple priorities. Our invitation is for everyone to participate in the full mission of strengthening our church family, serving our neighbors, and carrying the gospel to the nations.

When we give together toward the entire vision, we help every priority move forward. We encourage undesignated gifts whenever possible so resources can be directed where they’re needed most. If you’d like to discuss a designated gift, our Business Office would be happy to help.

How will the church report progress?

We want every Bridger to see the difference their generosity is making.

Throughout the three-year journey, we’ll share updates on project milestones, ministry progress, giving, and stories of life change. These updates will help us celebrate what God is doing across our campuses, in our communities, and around the world.

You can follow the journey at www.forourcities.com, where we’ll continue sharing stories, resources, and information as FOR OUR CITIES moves forward.
